Saudi Arabia: Investments in the food products industry exceed 88 billion riyals

The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources said that the volume of investment in the food products industry in the Kingdom amounts to more than 88 billion riyals.

 

Jarrah Al-Jarrah, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, explained that the volume of investment in the food products industry in the Kingdom is 88.191 billion riyals, which constitutes 6.12% of the total volume of investments in the industrial sector.

 

And he indicated that food products factories constitute 14% of the total number of factories in the Kingdom, as the number of food factories in the Kingdom during the current year is 1183 factories, pointing out that the number of industrial licenses issued to the sector during the current year is 23, according to Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper.

 

Al-Jarrah pointed out that the list of food-producing factories in the Kingdom topped the field of preserving and processing fruits and vegetables, with about 296 factories
