Agriculture: one billion, one hundred million dinars Jordanian exports in 2016 / Foodex Saudi
Agriculture Minister Khalid Hnaifat said that Jordan agricultural and food exports in 2016 amounted to around one billion and one hundred million Jordanian dinars, which accounted for about 25% of total exports for the same year.
He said the exports of agricultural products, including fresh plants and animals, both in terms of live sheep’s and animal products and other exports amounted to about 171.3 million dinars, vegetables, fruits and other plants about 406 million dinars.
He said food exports, which include all processed food products that are dependent on the agricultural sector mainly amounted to about 274.6 million dinars.
Hnaifat said that agricultural exports manufactured by the Jordanian agricultural factories amounted to about 258.4 million dinars, which include medicine and veterinary vaccines, pesticides, fertilizers and agricultural plastic pipes as well as agricultural fertilizer.
