Jeddah projects in 2017: a train in the Corniche .. maritime taxi / Foodex_Saudi
The news agency "Reuters" reported that the
declaration of the Saudi authorities for three projects for public transport in
Jeddah yesterday, is a sign that the government is keen not to freeze on new
infrastructure projects.
The statement said yesterday that the three projects, is the tram line "light rail" runs along the Corniche and the North, and Maritime Taxi service, and a bridge connecting two neighbourhoods of Jeddah, which is open to the participation of the private sector, in line with the new efforts of the government, aiming to urging private investors to participate in infrastructure construction.
With the expected decline in the government deficit, the
state budget for 2017 came less austere.
It is expected a higher spending on infrastructure and
transport 39% of the actual level of last year, and a study by Faithfull Gold
advisory services, published last week, estimated the projects that the
government will confirm this year will be total $ 27 billion, compared with
about $ 20 billion last year.
