Held talks with many ministers and
major Chinese companies about the Saudi Vision 2030
The Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment Dr.
Majed Abdullah Al-Kassabi Preside the kingdom’s delegation that participated the
ministerial meeting for Group of Twenty Trade ministers, which was held in
Shanghai city in China on Saturday, July 9th, 2016.
The ministerial meeting’s sessions included
assertion on the importance of establishing a mechanism to strengthen the trade
and investment for the members of the Group of Twenty and support the
multilateral trading system.
They also discussed ways to promote the growth
of international trade and cooperation to coordinate global investment policies.
A special session was held for the development of value-added chains and to
encourage greater participation from developing countries in small and medium
enterprises.
On the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of
His Excellency the Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Majed Abdullah
Al-Kassabi held bilateral meetings to discuss ways to enhance bilateral
cooperation between the Kingdom and the G-20 on all trade and investment
levels.
His Excellency also displayed the objectives of
Saudi Arabia national transformation program in 2020 and the Saudi Vision 2030
to major Chinese companies and discussed promising investment opportunities in
the Kingdom and the facilities provided for them.
Dr. Al-Kassabi met with the Minister of Foreign
Trade and Development Cooperation in the Netherlands, the Minister of Indian
Foreign Trade, the Minister of Commerce in Turkey,the Minister of Commerce and
Investment in UK, Permanent Representative of Canada, Vice President of the
International Monetary Fund, the Minister of Trade in the Republic of China, a
member of the European Commission Trade, the Indonesian Foreign Trade Minister
and the Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Egypt who was
invited to the summit.
